Vote: Which Team had the most frustrating Weekend?

It’s been a strange weekend. Bayern Munich, Werder Bremen and Hamburg each had the golden opportunity to capitalise on the others’ failings, yet despite trying really hard, none of them succeeded.

Bayern Munich
Bayern’s 0-0 draw against Duisburg could have been filed under the same category as their 0-0 draw against Frankfurt, if it wasn’t for the fact, that Duisburg actually were the better team in the first half. And that should be frustrating enough to get the most votes in this poll. The fact that Bayern failed to move clear of both Bremen and Hamburg is just the icing on the cake. Though it should be pointed out, that they moved one point clear of Bremen and kept Hamburg at bay, so that’s the argument against Bayern claiming the Most Frustrating Weekend Award.

Werder Bremen
Bremen could have taken over the top spot in the Bundesliga table. A privilege that Bayern Munich wasn’t willing to give away to anybody since matchday 1. Instead Bremen had to witness how Hanover easily put three goals in the back of their net inside 30 minutes. Bremen also have a crucial Champions League match ahead of them and this performance didn’t help get the team in the mood and rhythm I guess. At least the defeat only cost them one point in the table.

Hamburg
Hamburg quite easily played the most dominant game of the weekend. No other team matched their 26 shots on goal and 70% possession. Their passing accuracy of 84,59% was only surpassed by Borussia Dortmund with 85,77%, and this team got six goals in return for this accomplishment. Hamburg’s 0-0 draw against Cottbus means, they messed up a great chance to reclaim the ground they lost last weekend. The only thing that makes their weekend a little less frustrating is the fact, that the referee decided that a handball by Mathisjen was unintentional and denied Cottbus a penalty.
