Ouch. A knockout competition, in the literal sense.

I was on the receiving end before back in school and I was seven at that time. We were having PE (physcial education) then and a group of my classmates and I were on the school’s football pitch playing football. Then somehow, the ball hit my spectacles (I am short-sighted). No serious damages to the spectacles, as I later realised.

It was from then on, I stayed clear from my classmates if they were having a game of football on the school’s pitch. I didn’t really ‘recover’ from that incident and it has ‘traumatised’ me ever since. It has been 14 years already.
