Hamburg drew tonight’s Bundesliga opener against Bayern (2-2). They extended their unbeaten Bundesliga record in the Allianz Arena to two wins and two draws. Hamburg are the only team who are unbeaten in the Bundesliga in this stadium. Hamburg have been beaten in a DFB-Pokal match in 2005 though, where Bayern won 1-0 after extra time. In normal time Hamburg are unbeaten across all competitions.

  Very nice.

  I remembered back then there was a special report on sports stadiums (it came ahead of which company is the successful bidder for our country’s revamped national stadium which will be done in a few years’ time) on one of the newspapers here and the Allianz Arena was mentioned as among the stadiums from around the world which was impressive (I think the reason given was because it’s futuristic).

  Even Schalke’s home stadium impressed the newspaper as well.

  I just feel for the family of the photographer of the red photo, as he was surely run over about 2 seconds later by the looks of the photo.
