Season 2007/2008 Fixtures are here

We knew when it would start, now we know who will play.
The new season will be kickstarted by a real highlight. Stuttgart will host Schalke 04 on Friday, August 10th, 20.30h CET. Champion vs. Runner-up. Broadcasted live on German Free-TV. Yippee!
There are also two regional derbies taking place which are worth mentioning as well. Dortmund vs Duisburg and Hannover vs Hamburg.
Yet both look pale in comparison to the derby that follows on the second matchday. Schalke 04 vs Borussia Dortmund. No more words needed. And as if this isn’t enough yet, there is also a certain Werder Bremen playing against Bayern Munich the same weekend.
Matchday 3 looks rather ordinary but one week later Hamburg will play against Bayern Munich which promises to be a great match as well. Another week later it’s Schalke 04’s chance to take on Bayern. Highlight of matchday 6 should be Stuttgart vs Werder Bremen.

Bayern Munich has to play some top class competition right in the beginning of the season. Will be very interesting to see how the newly assembled squad can handle it. Could be either a bumpy start for them, or we will witness early signs of inevitable glory.
