Remake and Original: The Llama (Ger 2008, Ita 1990)

Mladen Kristajic (Schalke) and Kevin Kuranyi (Schalke) reenact the infamous spitting incident between Frank Rijkaard (then AC Milan) and Rudi Völler (then AS Roma) during the World Cup 1990 Round of 16 clash between Germany and the Netherlands. The remake has the splashier special effects, but Mladen Kristajic is a poor mans Frank Rijkaard and Kevin Kuranyi is, well, Kevin Kuranyi, so I still prefer the Italian language original.

Iffy Jan. I think the main issue here is that Kuranyi has a hair style that doesn’t scream of REO Speedwagon
On the plus side Krstajic hit the target, which is more than we can say for KK this year.
