Quote of the Day: Philipp Lahm on the Fridge of the Future

By: Jan | September 5th, 2008

“In 20 years’ time the fridge probably won’t stand in the corner anymore. The fridge will walk beside you and hand you a bottle of coke.”

Philipp Lahm in an interview with Süddeutsche Zeitung.

Can’t wait.

    No Philipp. Spezi. Always Spezi.

But I also have to say he’s wrong on another count. The fridge did this ***20 years ago***

Whoa. This is one of the deepest comments i’ve heard from a footy player in ages.

Luke, I have never seen that before myself. Hang on, since you said it’s from 20 years ago, I was only a year old then!

Anyhow, what Philipp said…it does put things into perspective, eh? The fridge was a big deal in my parents’ time. My mother once fussed over it growing up. I was like saying ‘No big deal’ after she told me on how she reacted when her family got a fridge. How blunt I was! :P Ah, me being a child of the 90s…

Times have really changed, come to think of it. :)

This is why sports stars need to learn to keep their mouths shut about anything not relating to sports =) It doesn’t help! http://eurosoccerdaily.com
