Quote of the Day: Museums are overrated anyway

By: Jan | February 23rd, 2009

We should be happy, that he isn’t putting his money into museums and art galleries, but into football among other things.

The German FA’s secretary general Wolfgang Niersbach about Hoffenheim’s sugar daddy Dietmar Hopp. In fact the German FA is so happy and thankful, that they bought a football database application by ICW, a startup company where Dietmar Hopp is majority shareholder, and held a press event for a bit of free extra PR for Hopp’s latest investment.

I am happy that the German FA is at least outspoken and open about its’ favoritism.

I am not sure how it was like in the past but it is like of a sudden, the DFB has become so open with announcing to the world of what they had got.

On the day they announced about the football database application (two days before the Norway match), I was like thinking, ‘Huh?’. The DFB want to tell the whole wide world about their latest ‘baby’?

The DFB of a sudden…very open to change, eh? That is news to me. *sarcastic*
