LEGO Bundesliga: Hannover 96 4-3 Werder Bremen

By: Jan | January 17th, 2008

There’s a football show in Italy called Quelli que il calcio, which airs on Rai Due. The only problem here is, that Rai Due doesn’t hold the rights to Serie A, which would make a show that is all talk rather dull. So they decided to hire actors to re-enact the goals, which are then shown a couple of minutes after the real goal was scored. And they have plenty of girls dancing around in between as well.

A slightly more time consuming way of getting around the rights situation would be to recreate the highlights of a match using LEGO stop-motion animation. And that’s what Hannover 96 fan Fabian Moritz has done for his club. Here’s one of my favourites: Hannover’s intense 4-3 victory over Werder Bremen complete with Hugo Almeida’s red card.

Damn you, damn you, damn you. I don’t have time for this today, but I could not stop watching it! (I also thought it worthy of a Daily Dose link.)
