Jens Lehmann Doesn’t Like Headbands
By: Jan | February 19th, 2009Read on if you can spare 12 seconds for another perfectly trivial and perfectly bloggable Jens Lehmann moment.
Jens Lehmann is currently on his lap of honor through Europe and yesterday he stopped by a large field of frozen mud in St. Petersburg, where he ended up getting emotional about Khalid Boulahrouz’s headband.
101GreatGoals’ theory is that Boulahrouz was “sporting a headband presumably in an effort to keep his hair out his eyes.” The weatherman’s theory is that he was wearing the headband to keep his ears from falling off and his brain from freezing due to the sub zero temperatures in Russia. His defending probably led Lehmann to the conclusion that the headband wasn’t working, so he tried something different.
P.S.: In case anyone cares: Jens Lehmann apologised to Khalid Boulahrouz after the match.

Jens is a madman. The Zenit player next to Boulahrouz is like, “Jens, if you like that one, check out my fantastic headband. Fits so well, don’t you think?”
