It’s hard out here for a WAG

By: Jan | March 20th, 2008

It was back in the summer, when Rafael van der Vaart pulled out all the stops to force a move to Valencia. He posed with a Valencia jersey, he faked a back injury, he talked about his dying grandfather and Sylvie chimed in that she no longer felt save in Hamburg. What looked like a ruthless effort by Rafael to bag more money and force the next step in his career, may just as well been done all out of love for his lovely wife, who struggles to live the life a WAG is supposed to live.

For more on Sylvie van der Vaart go to the Hamburg Offside. Chris just posted a few pictures, which will give you a better idea of what Sylvie is all about. If you like to learn a bit more about the person behind the WAG and her views on life, the universe and everything, you may also check out the following short interview. Sylvie is also an avid supporter of initiatives, which seek to bring more maps to schools in South Africa, Iraq and the US.

Eh…I see two red x on my computer. You know, this computer I’m using is on Microsoft XP and Internet Explorer. A gentle reminder…just in case you had forgotten Jan. ;)
