Goooooooool do Borussia times Six
By: Jan | December 9th, 2007Borussia Dortmund almost pulled off a Werder Bremenesque 8-1 against Arminia Bielefeld on Friday. But even their 6-1 Roger Federer score made for an entertaining game. And it’s even better if you happen to have a passionate South American pundit providing the commentary.

That commentator is fantastic. The best part is he got just as excited for AB when they scored. I think he just likes goals.
I wish he could follow me around and do the same for my daily life.

::Unrelated Queries::
Aside from his current 5-match ban, how do you rate Grossmüller’s transition to German football so far?
Curiosity: Do you happen to know if he knew German prior to his move? I’ve read that he has a German ancestry, but I don’t know if he is fluent in the language.

I don’t know what should be expected of him. I thought Schalke had settled for Rakitic/özil as creative midfielders this season. So I’m not sure whether he is supposed to be Schalke’s new midfield general or just a useful addition to the squad. He scored a nice free kick against Bremen and an absolute beauty of a goal against Chelsea; which was wrongly denied. Otherwise I haven’t put an eye on him enough to give a more detailed answer.
I don’t think he’s fluent in German, at least he didn’t speak German when he was officially presented. His grandfather was a member of the German heavy cruiser (pocket battleship) Graf Spee. Read the story here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/German_pocket_battleship_Admiral_Graf_Spee

Very interesting. I’ll keep an eye out for any Schalke games shown over here to see how his season pans out. Although I watch Liga mostly, I have a little interest in the careers of Argentines & Uruguayos of German descent as my grandfather also hailed from there before his emigration to Argentina, & fell in love with the game.
chau.
