What the ….: Energie Cottbus 5-1 Hanover 96

This match has proven to me, that I’m not free of prejudices – though I’m really, really trying (honestly). I was away on Friday and when I checked the news and read the score-line this morning, my thoughts and well wishes were already with the poor Energie Cottbus fans.

This was Cottbus’ highest ever Bundesliga victory. What a promising start to this year’s final matchday.

I was stunned when I saw the score 3-0 at the half. Cottbus may not be the league punching bag for much longer. They are playing some good football.

True, though Hanover helped them out with some of the goals.:-) It’s good to see that the bottom of the table is more open now. This should make for an entertaining relegation battle next year.

I thought the website had screwed up and reversed the numbers the first time I looked. I can’t figure it out and English language press hasn’t helped much.
