Eintracht Frankfurt: Call that bad Luck

By: Jan | August 1st, 2007

Aaron GalindoSomething I learned this summer is that pre-season training camps and friendlies are just as dangerous for a player’s health as the competitive football these activities are preparing for.

Bayern Munich are running out of strikers, Werder Bremen cancelled a friendly against Mainz because big parts of their squad weren’t able to play and Stuttgart’s coach Armin Veh constantly moaned about how he can’t prepare his squad for the new season with so many players missing.

The situation in Frankfurt has even forced the management to scan the market for a new central defender, as the better part of their defence won’t be fit until the season starts. And they found one in ex-Mexican international Aaron Galindo, who joins them on a free transfer from Swiss club Grasshopers Zürich. He was officially presented on Saturday and as of Monday he will miss the next three weeks due to a torn muscle.
