Juventus is/was supposedly willing to pay as much as €25m for Mario Gomez and €20m for Fernando Meira. Don't know if those numbers are even near the truth. Anyway, Gomez didn't comment on those rumours but Meira was actually quite charmed by the offer and said that he would like to move to a club like Juventus if Stuttgart lets him. But so far Stuttgart remained super strict regarding any request or offer from other clubs. I guess they fear, that if they give in on one player that this opens the gates for others to follow. The way it is atm is a good signal to the other players in the squad. They can be sure that they will stay together and can only get stronger next season.
