Happy Belated 100th Birthday Borussia Dortmund

Borussia Dortmund (or Ballspielverein Borussia 09 e. V. Dortmund for short) celebrated their 100th birthday on Saturday. The club has actually been stretching the centenary over a whole year, but the big Borussia birthday bash with a home game against Freiburg (1-0), pre-match choreo (above), post-match lasershow and a big party in the Westfallenhalle was on the 18th of December – the day the club was founded in 1909. Albeit with a slightly embarrassing birth defect. The club’s initial colors were blue and white, before switching to black and yellow a few years later. Everybody makes mistakes. Here’s to the next 100 years.
