Today is Jürgen Klinsmann’s 44th birthday, which is a good excuse to post a video of this particularly beautiful goal – which would eventually be crowned Goal of the Year 1987. Final score: Stuttgart 3-0 Bayern.

Klinsmann was still playing for VfB Stuttgart back then and ended the season as the league’s leading goalscorer and was subsequently voted German Footballer of the Year in 1988.

  Yes, but how old does that make Jay Göppingen? Believe that was Jupp’s first season at the helm in Munich–the later seasons were better, but that squad wasn’t bad.
