By: Jan | January 8th, 2008L’allenatore Nel Pallone 2 is the sequel to the 1984 hit(?) comedy L’allenatore Nel Pallone and will debut in cinemas around Italy on the 11th of January 2008. That’s about all the info I could get from IMDb, or even all of the Internet, that wasn’t in Italian. But I can tell you that the 1984 original is about a coach who is hired to relegate a Serie A side because of financial irregularities. A timeless story. The movie featured cameos by the likes of Zico and Carlo Ancelotti. Plot keywords include 1980s and Sex Comedy. So here is hoping they didn’t mess with this winning formula for the sequel. Bayern Munich’s Luca Toni is among a couple of World Cup winners, who play small guest roles this time around…

I saw a poster for that this morning on the way to work and wondered what it was about. (I wasn’t awake enough to catch much more than the title, I’ll have to take a closer look on the way home.)
