Bob apparently wasn’t satisfied with my boring answer as to why Kahn is worshipped in Japan and suggested an alternative.

My guess is that he is a legend for knocking back 50 pieces of sushi and a jug of saki in one sitting. Either that or it is his striking resemblance to Godzilla.

A quick Google session revealed that his assumption is probably more accurate and knowledgeable than my reference to Kahn’s World Cup 2002 heroics.

  Dude, don’t listen to Bob. The real reason that Asians love Kahn is because they think he’s related to Kublai and Genghis. In other words, they’re scared shitless of him.
