Stare Down Contest: Shao Jiayi versus Lukas Podolski

Shao Jiayi (Energie Cottbus) and Lukas Podolski (Bayern Munich) started last Saturday’s match from the bench. To waste some time the two spontaneously decided to have a go at each other with a good old stare down contest. Here is how it all played out…

Kick off.

18th minute: goal for Energie Cottbus by Branko Jelic.

29th minute: Ribery misses a penalty.

38th minute: goal for Energie Cottbus. Branko Jelic bags a brace.
A tough moment for Shao.

Half time.

57th minute.

66th minute: Lell (out) – Podolski (in)
68th minute: Jelic (out) – Shao (in)

Final whistle.
All credit to Shao and Podolski for going the whole 90 minutes. The stare down contest ended in a draw, but Shao was the happier man, with Energie Cottbus keeping all three points.
