Chris, I thought that Bradley would be a more realistic option for HSV because I didn't expect them to get their hands on a player like Neves, who had been courted by some of the big boys and even the soon-to-be biggest boy of them all with Man City. :-)

Anyway, it didn't hurt Marko Marin's phenomenal development to go through Gladbach's youth system and play for the seniors, so I think Bradley can expect to further hone his skills at this club as well.

Thanks for this, Jan. What do I know! I have to admit all along, I had always associated Lothar Matthäus and Stefan Effenberg with Bayern.

Well, whatever they say of learning something new each day. Speaking of the München part, I finally 'showed off' my limited German when my father and I were watching the repeat of the Champions League group stage draw on TV last Friday. I had watched the live broadcast but he didn't and so we were kind of running down which club has been drawn with which. He was asking what is Bayern München. :P I had to tell him it's Bayern Munich and München is Munich in German.

'Bayern Munich benefitted from the Olympic Summer Games in 1972'
Aha. I still remembered the day, two days after my birthday to be exact (I remembered well even all the more on that day I was getting ready to meet my friends from my secondary school days to celebrate my belated birthday), Michael Phelps won his eighth gold medal in China. I did witnessed that on TV, swimming being one of those sports I always watch whenever the Olympics come around. Anyhow, it was also then my father proudly declared that he did witnessed the day when Mark Spitz won his seventh gold medal back in 1972, on TV. ;) My father was still a student then.

'and paid close attention to his unique hair style.'
No wonder the photo. :P
