I’m a big fan of Bremen, mostly because they offer a fresh view of German football that doesn’t just consist of Bayern out muscling everyone else (I can’t believe I’m saying this as a Lyon fan!).

They are a club with a lot of courage, and proof that you don’t have to have a fat income to compete against the teams that do (I’m looking at you, Chelsea and Barca!).

I also like Diego and Torsten Frings (don’t ask why).

Jan: I think i read something about it in a book called Tor: The Story Of German Football. It sayed most of Germans (Who werent supporting Bayern) were rooting for Man U, and in the same way most of the English (Who werent supporting Man U) were rooting for Bayern, Lol.

Fernando: I no longer loathe Bayern Munich. I’m much more relaxed in that respect nowadays. Although if I had to fully respect and continue Bundesliga fan tradition then there would be only two choices: either you support Bayern Munich or you hate them. It’s strange back in the 90s I wished that Bayern hadn’t won the UEFA Cup and actually rooted for Manchester United in that legendary 1999 CL final. I didn’t care whether Manu might actually be England’s equivalent to Munich, as long as it’s not Munich. And just like you might see Scotsmen wearing the jerseys of teams England face in the World Cup you could see Germans wearing Manu jerseys back then. Very strange. Probably also had something to do with Manu’s always excellent and progressive worldwide marketing approach. But as I said, that’s history.

You can expect fair coverage of all Bayern related news. Or at least equal measures of ridicule for all Buli teams.:-)

Chris: Good to know. So Bayern Munich are now acquiring fans against their will by buying their favourite players. Bastards!

Put another notch up there for Bayern, albeit reluctantly. I don’t like the club, but I’m a massive Luca Toni fan. Damn you, Luca. You have no idea how disgusted I am that I have to root for Franck Ribery now.

Though I suppose I could just hope Bayern scores about 4 goals a game a concedes 6. Yeah, we’ll go with that.

Nice, im mexican but i support Bayern, thats because i lived one year in Augsburg and i learnt to hate 1860 München. But apart from my Bayern and Augsburg kits, i do have one of Werder Bremen, lol .
