The Shit Has Hit the Fan

Both figuratively and literally.

The noise surrounding Hoffenheim’s sonic intervention on Saturday keeps getting louder. Hoffenheim’s groundkeepr, lone perpetrator or scapegoat, apparently had a helping hand and nearby stewards being in the know. He also has been operating his “self made” boom box in previous home games against Mainz, Cologne, Frankfurt and again Dortmund as well – though it was never as loud as on Saturday. Makes Hoffenheim’s take on the story seem somewhat implausible, or they really have no clue what’s going on in their stadium, which either way doesn’t shed a good light on the club.

Meanwhile, things got quite a bit more disgusting over in Gelsenkirchen. A handful of Cologne fans filled their beer cups with faeces and urine and then threw them around hitting both Cologne and Schalke fans. The police has secured the “evidence”. The fans will be somewhat excused if they were all about two years old.
